CENTRAL ARIZONA SHELTER SERVICES INC is Hiring an Annual Giving Manager (Corporate and Foundation Fundraising) Near Phoenix, AZ

Description

Are you passionate about building partnerships and securing support from corporations and foundations to drive impact in the fight against homelessness? Join our dedicated team at Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), Arizona's largest and oldest Single Adult Homeless Shelter, committed to providing emergency housing and support to those in need for over 40 years. We also have operated an emergency family shelter for 30 years and have plans to open a Senior citizen emergency shelter next.

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Annual Giving Manager with a focus on Corporate and Foundation fundraising to expand our philanthropic efforts. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, Whitney Thistle, this role will play a critical part in growing revenue from corporate and foundation partners to sustain and advance our mission-driven programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit support from corporate and foundation donors, including grant writing, proposal development, and donor stewardship.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate executives and foundation representatives.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to create and execute targeted fundraising campaigns and initiatives, leveraging corporate sponsorships and foundation grants.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors, ensuring timely communication, cultivation, and stewardship to foster long-term relationships and support.
  • Work closely with program staff to understand funding needs and priorities, aligning fundraising efforts with organizational goals and impact.
  • Monitor and track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables to ensure compliance and fulfill donor expectations.
  • Utilize DonorPerfect fundraising database to manage donor interactions, track fundraising progress, and generate reports for analysis and strategy development.
  • Represent CASS at networking events, corporate meetings, and foundation gatherings to promote awareness, engagement, and partnership opportunities.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on corporate and foundation relations.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing corporate sponsorships and foundation grants, meeting fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in grant writing, proposal development, and donor correspondence.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire corporate and foundation partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect fundraising database preferred.
