Find your purpose as a Specialty Scheduling Assistant in the Nephrology department at CentraCare River Campus. 

Specialty Scheduling Assistants will set up lab and office visits, send appointment reminder to patients, and often go into patient exam rooms at the end of the visit to schedule any follow up appointments that are needed. Other responsibilities include scheduling chronic kidney disease education sessions ordered by the provider, scheduling appointments with the Nephrology MTM pharmacist, and ensure follow up with our clinic is completed in a timely manner so that patients seen in the hospital have the necessary nephrology appointments set up for them.

In this department you have the chance to get to know our patients. Often times you get to see patients on a regular basis, so you get to know them and their families.

Hours:

• 80 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Day hours Monday-Friday with the potential for 9-hour days and occasional work from home opportunities.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience: 

• 1 year scheduling experience or equivalent knowledge and/or skills

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Type 50 wpm
• Working knowledge of computers and general office equipment
• Strong phone skills
