Find your purpose as a General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse in our CentraCare General Surgery department.

The General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care for patients referred to or being seen for care in the surgery clinic. This position acts as a department's clinical lead, patient advocate, and care coordinator. The General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) will participate in coordination of patient care, department leadership, triage and provide prompt and accurate communication to the patients, physicians, and the health care team. 

Hours and Schedule:

• Full time 80 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
• Hybrid schedule with the option to work from home on a rotational basis.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required. 
• 3 years Clinical experience in ambulatory or acute care medical surgical setting preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Minnesota. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) per established policy required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with patient education preferred. 
• Experience in surgery preferred including telephone triage, symptom management and wound care.
