Housekeeping/Environmental Services is responsible for cleaning patient rooms and common areas in the hospital. They serve a vital role in making a difference at CentraCare because they ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a fast-paced position.

Basic Duties Include:

• Cleaning patient rooms while patient/visitors are present.
• Interacting with patients while cleaning rooms.
• Completing a thorough room cleaning once a patient has been discharged.
• Position does include working with chemicals as well as cleaning up bodily fluids.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Strong interpersonal human relations skills.

Hours:

• 48 hours per 2 -week pay period.
• Hours are 1pm-9:30pm variable days, every other weekend, and rotating holidays,
  • However, we may consider a later start time during the week.
  • If opting for modified schedule, 48 hours must be maintained for every 2-week pay period.
  • If opting for the modified schedule during the week, the start time must remain the same.

Pay

• Starting pay is $16.34 per hour, however we pay more for experience.
