Overview

Responsibilities

Mid-Level Tier II advanced work supporting team members on IT Operations Engineering team including: Purchasing/Acquisitions, Implementation, Data Backup and Monitoring, Software and Maintenance, Contract management, Vendor management, Reporting KPIs, and Regulatory Compliance
Advance support for technical infrastructure hardware, healthcare technology/system software components for the end user community
Prioritizes tasks/solutions assigned to IT Operations Engineering team
Acquires Team Lead for quotes and pricing of hardware, software, licensing etc.
Leads in key project reviews as part of the process to ensure infrastructure requirements are clearly communicated/project timelines are implemented accordingly
Acknowledges day to day tasks as assigned w/Manager of IT Operations Engineering
Technical coordinator for new construction projects
Monitor/maintains enterprise hardware availability on defined service level
Appraises project task implementation planning/infrastructure/healthcare technology maintenance
Responsible for the forecasting, implementation/identification of resource requirements for wired/wireless network systems high complexity
Responsible for the configuration/maintenance the following network environments: Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, IT platforms for Clinical systems, Client Platform device management systems, Telehealth infrastructure/devices, Blade/Rack
Mounted Server Systems, and Healthcare Technology Platforms
Support/maintain critical legacy systems such as PBX/Analog phone systems
Level Incident Management, including advanced mentoring of IT Support personnel
Maintain network/telephony physical support of remote sites
Provides reports and metrics related to performance and availability
Leads infrastructure/healthcare technology projects assigned by the Manager / Team Lead of IT Operations Engineering

Qualifications

Job Description: The Senior Engineer has advanced troubleshooting and service desk support experience. Occasionally directs other team members with day to day tasks of the IT Operations Engineering team. This person will contribute to the knowledge transfer across the Service Desk and ensuring quick resolution to infrastructure escalations. Is responsible to assist with these services related to physical infrastructure and healthcare technology hardware: Purchasing and Acquisitions, Implementations, Contract Negotiations and Reviews, Maintenance Contracts, Inventory Management, Vendor Service Management, Executive Support, Reporting and KPIs and Regulatory and Compliance.

Required Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or Math OR minimum of seven (7 ) years of equivalent experience
Required Experience: Minimum of seven (7 ) years of progressive experience in administering enterprise-level services utilizing multiple traditional and emerging technologies
Required Certifications and Licensures: Valid Virginia Driver's License
