Job Summary:
Centra Diagnostics is looking for a Medical Biller/ AR Specialist to join our rapidly growing toxicology laboratory located in Los Angeles. For a decade now, we’ve been serving our community to make healthcare better and more reliable. Our mission is to improve health by providing quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Duties:
- Reviewing medical records and charges to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies and payers
- Tracking and following up on claims status and payment
- Identifying and resolving errors or denials
- Negotiating agreements with Insurance Companies
- Payment Posting
- Communicating with patients and healthcare providers as needed
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and guidelines
- Adhering to HIPAA privacy and security standards
- Collaborating with other departments, like patient accounts and clinical teams
- Meeting productivity and accuracy standards
- Taking initiatives to create processes and systems to make our work environment more productive and efficient.
Requirements:

Experience:
- Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient use of computer, Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and database management.
- Strong communication. Including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems with limited assistance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Basic math skills.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Performing the duties of this job requires sitting or standing for long periods of time. Occasional bending, stretching, or lifting. Ability to hear the normal range of voice.
