Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients' hearing and balance
- Perform medical imaging and interpret results to diagnose auditory and vestibular disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive devices
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing conservation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
- Strong knowledge of auditory physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and interpretation of results
- Experience with aseptic technique for ear examinations and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must have license from State of Ohio for dispensing and fitting hearing aids. HIS
