*We are hiring for various locations. We have facilities in Beachwood, Cleveland-East, Euclid, Fairview Park, Franklin Plaza-Cleveland, Garfield, Heather Hill-Chardon, Jefferson, Mentor, Middleburg Hts., Oakwood Village, Pleasant Lake-Parma, Shaker, Warrensville, and Cleveland-West.*

Training Program Overview:

  • Sixteen weeks paid formal training
  • Weeks 1-4 – Onsite clinical introduction to unit
  • Weeks 5-10 – Classroom and onsite clinical instruction
  • Weeks 11-16 – Onsite clinical training with preceptor
  • Successful completion of training program is dependent on maintaining a 78% cumulative average on exams along with passing clinical competencies
  • Attendance is mandatory

Responsibilities:

Treatment Initiation

  • Prepare hemodialysis machine for treatment
  • Obtain pre-treatment vital signs; weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc. on patients
  • Cannulate patients hemodialysis access, or access blood flow through catheter

Monitor Treatment

  • Monitor and record patients vital signs and machine data throughout treatment
  • Troubleshoot patient and machine complications

Discontinue Treatment

  • Discontinue treatment by re-transfusing patient’s blood
  • Discharging patient when stable

Patient/Customer Focused Care

  • Team approach to patient care
  • Opportunity for involvement in Quality Assurance Teams and Work Groups

Qualifications:

  • Excellent work history
  • Patient care experience – Phlebotomy skills a plus
  • Successful completion of college level English, Mathematics, and Science – Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Highly motivated
  • Attention to details
  • Flexible – rotating work schedule to include both day and evening shifts as needed by the facility
