Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards

What qualifications you will need:

• BSN preferred
• Registered Nurse – Missouri Licensure (or compact)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate within 12 months of hire.
• Recent Oncology experience is preferred as well as prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services.

• Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Centerpoint Medical Center is accredited by The Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer Standard 4.2 requires the nursing professional to complete 12 Oncology specific CNEs/CMEs each calendar year OR to hold an accredited certification starting after one year of hire.
