CenterPoint Energy is Hiring a Distribution Programs Admin Coordinator Near Houston, TX

CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Distribution Programs Administration Coordinator to join our Meter Reading & Work Order Management Team, located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to: provide administrative support to management and large staff by performing administrative and clerical duties. Frequent customer interaction, data entry and management, report generation and ability to manage multiple priorities is expected.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Prepares, coordinates, analyzes, and critiques business correspondence, contracts, agreement letters, project documents, and presentation.
  • Monitors and reports compliance and non-compliance to department policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Creates, utilizes, maintains, monitors, and analyzes data bases – SAP, CRM, ARO, Excel, Access, and Consolidated Joint Trench Website.
  • Creates, monitors, analyzes, and updates reports using data from SAP, BES, WEB applications, and other data bases. Serve as single point of contact for coordinating issue resolution with supervision and T/O staff and communicates resolutions to all system end users (LDS, SL Ops, Revenue Accounting, GIS).
  • Receives, initiates, schedules, monitors, corrects, resolves, and/or coordinates transactions such as Electric Service Identifier acquisitions, billing code validations, MVIs, MVO’s, account transfers, final bills, system rejects, billing discrepancies, and annexation reconciliations with multiple Competitive Retailers, premise customers, contractors and CNP Revenue Accounting staff to insure accurate accounting transactions and billing of lighting accounts.
  • Researches, validates, initiates, and communicates resolutions associated with all outdoor lighting accounting, billing, and inventory discrepancies identified or determined internally or as communicated by Premise Customers, Management Companies, Competitive Retailers, Aggregators, and/or ERCOT.
  • Creates and reviews SAP work orders, perform SAP notification entries, TECO SAP work orders, and prepare and duplicate work order packages for delivery to construction forces.
  • Communicates (verbally, in written correspondence, and thru email) with government entities, developers, homeowner/property owner associations, community management companies, competitive retailers, contractors and other CNP employees.
  • Responds to and/or correctly redirects customer contacts from telephone calls, emails, walk-ins, and written correspondence to the appropriate CNP staff having the direct responsibility for ensuring that such customer contacts/needs are timely and adequately addressed.
  • Participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility and works independently using self- initiative and self-motivation.
  • Processes invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and payments using SAP, ESS, and in coordination with ARO and other CNP accounting staff as pertinent.

Your background includes:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of administrative or office related experience. In lieu of experience, 1year of college for every 2 years of required experience may be accepted.
 

A bonus to have:

  • Associate degree.
  • Able to demonstrate basic analytical and problem-solving skills, detailed oriented and make sound decisions.
