We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service. Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using EMR software
- Collect patient information and update medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with the medical team to provide excellent patient service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
