Qualifications as a Recreation Leader
- Prepare recreational programs and activities, both in a group setting and individual setting, to meet the functional levels, needs, and interests of residents
- Maintain records of residents’ attendance and participation in activities
- Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary
- Complete assessments, care plans, and appropriate documentation as needed
- Follow care plans in providing daily activities for residents
- Encourage residents to take part in personal development
- Promote physical, social, and mental well-being of residents
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Previous experience in long-term care
- Willingness and patience to work with residents in long-term care facility.
Shift: Monday to Friday 9-5 with rotating weekends
