The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for a Dozer/Heavy Equipment Operator position to work in the grant-administered US Forest Service ACES Program (55 years of age or older) at the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, in Laona, WI.
Role and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is Skidsteer operation for fuels reduction work within the CNNF East Zone Fire Program. This includes using a drum mulcher attached to the Skidsteer to clear wood vegetation for the construction of the fire line Duties include but are not limited to performing the following:
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States; possess a high school graduate/GED degree and 15 years of relevant experience in a related field; Possess Class B CDL with Air Endorsement; Dozer Operator Qualification; Skidsteer Operator Qualification.
Hours & Compensation: Part-time position working 20 hours per week @ $37.56 per hour.
Older Americans Act of 1965 / Title V COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT / Part-time public service and private sector jobs for unemployed, experienced and/or low-income persons age 55 and older are created through Title V of the Older Americans Act.
