The Center for Women and Families - Contract Therapist (Sexual Assault - Southern Indiana)

The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of their trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble counties in Kentucky, and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana. 

The Contract Therapist (Sexual Assault) will provide direct clinical services, counseling, and solution-focused brief therapeutic (SFBT) interventions to individuals, groups, and families with victims of sexual assault living in Southern Indiana.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide and develop an individualized solution-focused brief therapy treatment plan for victims of sexual assault, averaging between 4-5 sessions per individual.
• Provide initial interview, assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning for adults and children.
• Provide follow-up (defined as interactions with clients outside therapy sessions but related to clients’ case).
• Provide and develop Group Therapy including initial interview, assessment, and crisis intervention.
• Maintain certification/licensure/supervision expectations.
• Provide consultation to staff, Center, and community partners as appropriate.
• Participate in case conferences, Center meetings, and training as assigned/requested.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Licensed to practice clinical therapy in Indiana. Must have an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCMHC, or be working toward full licensure providing your own supervisor.

The Center requires the basic round of COVID vaccinations and highly recommends boosters.
