Center for the Creative Arts is Hiring a Pottery Teaching Artist Near Hockessin, DE

CCARTS is seeking a creative and passionate Pottery Teaching Artist to join our team for the Fall 2024 Semester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with all ages, and should have proficient experience in studio maintenance, kiln firing, glaze mixing, & wheel throwing. CCArts Teaching Artists uphold CCArts’ values of acceptance, collective success, and creative expression building an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop & implement engaging art lessons for students of various age groups.
- Create a supportive & inclusive learning environment that encourages artistic expression.
- Tailor teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring art to students of all ages.
- Preferred Experienced in Studio Maintenance, Kiln Firing, Glaze Mixing, & Wheel Throwing (Part Time Studio Manager Hours Available)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
