Medical Referral Scheduler – Part Time

We are looking for an experienced front office specialist to assist in our busy orthopedic surgery office. One year previous experience in a medical office with knowledge of health insurance plans required. Job duties include contacting patients referred to our practice to get them scheduled for appointments. The Referral Scheduler is often the first point of contact between the patient and the practice to ensure their experience with Center for Spine and Orthopedics is of the highest standard. Duties include scheduling new referrals with the appropriate provider, verifying insurance benefits electronically, pre-authorizing patient visits, and obtaining appropriate paperwork. May assist with various other duties. Excellent keyboarding skills necessary. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply, but not required. We are looking for the kind of person that goes above and beyond what is expected. Professional dress and appearance required.

The hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
