Responsibilities:

Team player with ability to get along with others.
- Assist the oral surgeon during oral surgery procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Maintain patient head position during surgery and IV sedation

- The Dental assistant's primary responsibility is to prepare the examination room for appointments, sterilization of instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the oral surgeon.

-They will also assist the oral surgeon during their procedure by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment.

-Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality

Skills:
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with taking and developing dental X-rays

Current/Active Dental Radiation Technologist License in the State of Maryland

- Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification License in Maryland (Required)
