Description
Come be a part of our growing team! The full-time Medical Assistant will work within a supportive team of Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and nursing staff to provide ongoing support to the West Springfield community.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for managing the Psychiatrist's schedule, collaborating within the team to coordinate care, obtaining medical records, scheduling appointments and providing direct care to the clients during office visits.
Job Functions : Direct oversite and management of Psychiatrist's schedule, utilizing an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments, develop supportive relationships with clients, interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients’ support network ( e.
g. family members, other service providers), active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment, liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients’ medications, and prepare lab requests and obtain results.
Requirements :
Certified Medical Assistant required
Schedule :
Monday - Thursday : 12pm-8pm
Fridays : 9am-5pm
