OVERVIEW
Established in 1920, Center For Family Services has been committed to uplifting individuals and families through an innovative continuum of care. Its efforts are focused on serving more than 10,000 families annually through early childhood, supportive housing, homeless prevention, workforce development, and several crisis hotlines. Center for Family Services will work in collaboration with the Camden City School District (CCSD) to implement a prevention and intervention program for youth in grades 6-8 at H.B. Wilson Family School.
POSITION SUMMARY
CFS is seeking a part-time Mental Health Counselor to provide short-term mental health counseling to middle school aged youth at H.B Wilson Family School. The Mental Health Counselor will be experienced and passionate about providing counseling to middle school aged youth and their families to support social, emotional, academic, and physical development. The Mental Health Counselor will utilize trauma informed, strengths-based in their work with students and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administrative Management
• Documentation of clinical sessions and case management activities in compliance with SBYS manual.
• Maintains consistent weekly office hours.
• Data collection and reporting on levels of service, community linkages, effectiveness of services, and service outcomes.
• Connects students and families with appropriate community resources for support.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and protective factors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree accepted, Master's degree in social work or counseling related field preferred.
• Experience working in collaboration with community, schools, and families
• Experience in facilitating groups and workshops.
• Experience in using data to drive outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter, organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Access to reliable transportation
