Panther Cubs Summer All-Stars Program Coordinator Job Description
General Scope of Responsibilities – The Coordinator will be responsible for
Reports to – Elementary Principals
Supervises –Summer Program Teachers and support staff
Essential Functions-
1. Planning and Coordination
Collaborate and coordinate with administrative and instructional team members to develop and support all activities related to the summer program.
Create and coordinate orientation materials and activities for summer school staff.
Serve as the resource person for questions regarding the summer school program.
Assist with establishing class lists and parent orientation.
Update summer program staff handbook.
Assist with recruiting and interviewing staff for the program
Set final schedules – staffing, classes, and busing
Collect/organize/disseminate final staffing lists.
Provide curriculum oversight for summer school program
2. Coordinate
Coordinate overall summer school registration
Arrival and dismissal with the administration
Special activities for the students during the program
Data collection to analyze and report in collaboration with the Literacy & Math Specialists
3. Program Implementation
Maintain ongoing communication with involved administrators.
Monitor the processes for staff and student attendance.
Support communication between the administrators and summer program staff
Organize/conduct summer school staff orientation
4. Building and Staff Supervision
Support and oversee staff and students under the supervision of the administration during the summer program
Articulate responsibilities and provide orientation to summer program staff.
Oversee summer program staff attendance and substitute assignments when needed.
Bring all discipline matters to the attention of the administration.
Coordinate summer program teacher check out
5. Reporting
Compile, prepare, disseminate and maintain required summer program reports (i.e. attendance, assessment data, inventory, etc.)
Evaluation and data from the 4-week program reported to Administration
Participate in a presentation to the Education Committee of the Whole in the fall along with the administration. 6. Required Qualifications and Experience
1. Principal Certification and/or leadership experience preferred Location: McDonald Elementary School Position Duration: June 27, 2022 to July 21, 2022 Pay Rate: $5,000 Stipend for approximately 20 days
