We are currently seeking a full-time . The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for balancing patients’ comfort and needs with the facility’s operating needs and financial goals.

The Insurance Verification Specialist provides counseling to patients by explaining insurance benefits and collecting out of pocket costs up front.

We are looking for candidates who can identify problem delinquencies and recommend their appropriate disposition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of collections experience required.
• Previous experience in follow up with insurance companies, insurance verifications, and prior healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• A working knowledge of insurance terms, reimbursement procedures, medical terminology and hospital services strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting is required.
• Skill working with computerized accounting or EMR systems required.
• Positive attitude and a team player
