CENIKOR FOUNDATION is Hiring a MAT Prevention Specialist Near San Marcos, TX

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Direct Services

  • Provide educational programs to youth grades 6-12th in school and community settings.
  • Provide tobacco, alcohol and drug awareness presentations for youth and adults.
  • Participate in tobacco, alcohol and other drug awareness campaigns.
  • Provide health and wellness alternative activities.
  • Attend local health fairs, school events, and collation meetings at schools and in funded communities.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with schools and community partners through collaborative efforts.
  • Serve as Cenikor representative to assigned schools, and community contacts in a professional manner.
  • Work with Prevention Supervisor and Director of Prevention Programs to ensure maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness with the scheduling of prevention services.

Administration

  • Document and maintain program files according to federal, state, and agency guidelines.
  • Report monthly statistics and curriculum outcomes for attainment of program goals.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and supervision meetings with Prevention Supervisor and Director of Prevention Programs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards as well as contract standards and Cenikor policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional development as required by federal, state and agency to meet compliance guidelines.
  • Work closely with management team to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
  • Ensure completion of Big 5 performance management tool by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experienced and/or knowledgeable in providing educational presentations
  • Experienced in working with diverse populations.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including MS Outlook calendar, TEAMS and Zoom.
  • Ability to consistently uphold the Core Principles of Cenikor’s Culture with all team members:
  • Demonstrate mission of service to our clients
  • Positive, respectful communication with both staff and clients
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and perseverance to achieve goals
  • Role model appropriate, professional behaviors including appropriate client boundaries
  • Work effectively as part of a team, helping to set up others for success

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration, Education or another related field required.

Experience:

  • Experience in school and/or community setting
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Experience in establishing community partnerships

Licensure:

  • Associate Prevention Certification required within 20 months of employment

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
