Job Purpose:

Looking for technical candidates who are passionate about all things DevOps. The individual must be able to affect change, be proactive, and be passionate about making our development lifecycle as efficient as possible by implementing and evolving DevOps practices at Cendyn. This candidate will need to have a fervor for empowering support, development, and product teams to help drive the company's success.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Develop, implement, and automate software deployments using Azure DevOps. This includes Build, Deployment and Release Pipelines using Classic and YAML based pipelines
2. Improve and develop automation templates for Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Configuration Management using Ansible and SaltStack.
3. Support the migration & modernization efforts from on-premise Microsoft based infrastructure to Azure Iaas, PaaS and FaaS technology stacks.
4. Investigate cloud native application issues by using Azure Monitor / Application Insights and KQL to filter and browse logs to identify the issue.
5. Troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and providing resolutions or recommendations for resolution.
6. Assist in the design of Azure Cloud systems and architecture.
7. Continually review existing processes for the entire lifecycle and updating or creating new methods for improvement and minimizing single points of failure or wastage.
8. Assist in cost optimization to avoid unnecessary spending of Cloud resources.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

1. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. 4 years of experience working in enterprise architecture and design across multiple IT functional areas involving hybrid cloud deployments
3. 6 years of experience working in the Information Technology domain
4. 4 years of experience with design & development of frameworks, reusable components and shared services using .Net technology using SOA or Micro services.
5. 2 years of experience in capacity planning, benchmarking, business continuity, and resiliency planning.
6. 4 years of experience architecting and managing Azure cloud environments
7. Knowledge and experience with Continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) practices and other DevOps concepts and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git,ARM, Ansible)
8. Understanding of Version Control Software and job execution tools.
9. Proficiency in PowerShell and hands-on experience with the Azure module, azure CLI and IaC products like ARM and Terraform
10. Desirable Qualifications
    1. Familiarity with Azure DevOps YAML based pipelines
    2. Understanding or experience with foundational technology components, including rules engines, API gateway, BPM, noticing engine, workflow engines, middleware components, MDM, identity, and access management and ETL.
    3. Knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies: Server, Storage, Networking. Capable of monitoring and analyzing virtualization key performance metrics.
    4. Knowledge of or exposure to computer programming languages, such as C#, C , Perl, PHP, or Python.
    5. Similar AWS experience and experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher

Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.
