Job Purpose:

The role of this job is to design, build and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience. The role requires passion, knowledge, and experience working with HTML and CSS, JavaScript as well as knowledge of modern techniques and technologies. With being able to work with legacy technologies as well. Cross browser/device coding and knowledge. The ability to work with a team and follow instructions and pay attention to detail is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Create new features or parts of internal/user-facing applications, with the end user in mind, providing for the best customer experience
2. Assist in building component-based architectures for supporting applications including developing components and libraries that are reusable and future-proof
3. Knowledge in using UI/UX designs or wireframes to create the respective code and the application for multiple browsers
4. Uses knowledge of Vue.JS or other JavaScript frameworks and their lifecycles to maximize components performance across different devices and browsers
5. Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
6. Work with a team of developers in determining and executing best practices through peer review, pull requests, and regular collaboration
7. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Non-Essential Functions:

1. Problem Solving skills with the ability to analyze and review code
2. Working with teams and communication skills
3. Aligning to structured process and operational guidelines
4. Learn new concepts, techniques and technology from more senior team members

Requirements:

1. Proven knowledge and experience in web technologies, languages, protocols, tactics, and tools
2. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS required, including responsive design experience
3. Knowledge CSS preprocessors like Sass and LESS
4. JavaScript skills with knowledge of or actively learning ECMAScript 5 and up
5. Some experience with front-end component frameworks such as Vue.js, React and others
6. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
7. Visual Studios is a plus
8. Understanding of cross browser/device testing

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. At least 3 years’ experience authoring, maintaining, and developing in a web environment.
3. Familiar with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process and methodologies

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Related certification

3. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
4. A motivation to stay current in new web trends and technologies.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment. Working in an office environment requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to work with others in a moderately noisy open office environment with centrally controlled head/AC setting.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job related emergencies or client needs.

Travel:

This position does not require travel.
