As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the teacher with implementing child activities, setting up the classroom, and ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment. 1 position available at CenClear’s Preschool located in Port Matilda, PA (Matternville area)

• Position working Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 3 to 5
• Assist the teacher with implementing child activities
• Set up and maintain an organized classroom environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students
• Adhere to program regulations and guidelines
• Possibly provide coverage as needed for other duties or positions. Possible opportunities for coverage within the same or another classroom.
• Additional hours could be provided for duties such as light cleaning, child transportation and break coverage
• Work approximately 175-180 days a year (primarily during the school year)

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Individual must have or be willing to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with hire.
• If the individual does not have a CDA they must be willing to attend the Highly Qualified training while pursuing a CDA
• Working phone in your home
• Documented good physical health.
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Compensation

Position is paid hourly at $13.79
