The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (BHCC) will work under the direct supervision of the Behavioral Health Care Coordination Manager and/or Behavioral Health Program Director under clinical guidance from BH Medical Director. Expectations of this position are to provide robust customer service for CenCal Health’s membership and its provider network that is aligned with the Plan’s strategic goals and Mission Statement. In this role, the BHCC assists Plan membership with the following needs: screening and linkage to mental health providers for mild to moderate conditions, assisting members in crisis by connecting to County Mental Health services, or initial requests for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services. This position assists members having difficulty navigating, understanding and utilizing their behavioral health benefits; whom may have multiple complex needs, limited communication skills or may be transitioning between levels of care/ types of service. The BHCC will receive and triage calls from the BH Provider network and serve as a resource of CenCal Health’s BH Program information, both internally and externally.
