CEN LLC is Hiring an Intern, CPF Near New York, NY

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The CPF Intern is exposed to commercial real estate lending and receives training in underwriting. The Intern gains the basic fundamentals of credit processes, from deal review and credit structuring through performance monitoring and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Learn to perform analysis using industry tools for the Underwriting Group. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.2. Shadows and learns the process of creating and drafting credit memos for the Underwriting Group. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.
3. Additional activities as directed by the Senior Director and Managing Director level Management. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
4. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed monthly.
5. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
6. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
