JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ObjectiveThe Line Pilot is responsible for the safe, comfortable, on-time and efficient operation of the aircraft. A pilot flying as captain is the pilot-in-command and the final decision-making authority regarding the operation of the aircraft. The captain is the onsite leader responsible for the safety and welfare of the crew and passengers.

Essential Functions

  • Provide air transportation for corporate executives and other passengers in day, night and all-weather conditions.
  • Operate in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
  • Exercise sound judgment in the safe and efficient operation of the flight
  • Incorporate relevant information, develop operational strategies and choose the best course of action consistent with safe, reliable and efficient operation of the aircraft
  • Actively verify aircraft systems, position and configuration, and crewmember actions, and resolve inconsistency or uncertainty
  • Responsible for staying abreast of changing air safety regulations and procedures, as well as maintaining preparedness for abnormal or emergency situations.
  • Other administrative duties related to organizational functions may be assigned.

    Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Required Education and Experience

  • Specialized training (ex. machinist, graphic designer)
  • Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years experience in commercial aviation. Should have experience in aircraft, maintenance and personnel management.
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)Must possess current FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument rating or Airline Transport Pilot certificate. Must have a minimum of 1,500 hours of flight experience and 1,000 hours of fixed-wing, pilot-in-command experience. Must currently possess a First or Second Class Medical Certificate. Must be able to pass security background check and drug test.
