This operator performs electronic cable and/or wiring harness molding operations. This portion of the cable build process molds cable breakouts and connectors utilizing cold mold and injection mold processes. This position requires working with engineers, technicians and other operators to perform the molding of various cables and electronic assemblies following routine or complex procedures. This would include cleaning, prepping, priming, shooting/injection and mold breakdown.

Responsibilities:

• Performs molding of cables and/or wiring harnesses in cold mold and injection mold processes
• Works with chemicals and compounds to prepare cables/harnesses for mold
• Utilizes basic hand tools to assist in the molding of cables/harnesses
• Sets up, operates and cleans injection mold and cold mold equipment
• Ensures proper clocking in accordance with cable drawings
• Works from Manufacturing Instructions (MI), drawings and other written instructions.
• Works in accordance with current Celltron Process Procedures (CPP)
• Performs positive shift turnover control when required with counterpart, passing pertinent information to maintain continuity in the area
• Provide legible, accurate records of daily production output and production material accountability (scrap) to the Supervisor.
• Report any deficiencies of equipment or materials to the Team Supervisor
• Respond to emergency alarms and situations following established safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe and cohesive working environment
• Partner with other Celltron employees promoting team concept
• Perform other duties and assignments as requested or assigned.
• Trained to IPC 620 Rev B (certification)

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cable fabrication (Military cable fabrication)
• Familiarization with AS9100 and ISO9001 Standards
• Familiarization with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Experience in basic hand tool use
