Tower Technician – Top Hand

Job Summary:

 We're seeking a Tower Technician with a head for heights and a knack for hands-on work. As a Tower Technician, you'll tackle a diverse range of tasks, from installing and maintaining antennas and lines to handling electrical installations and upkeep. Your primary role involves scaling communication towers and radio structures to access otherwise unreachable areas. Safety is paramount, so strict adherence to safety regulations is a must. We're looking for someone who can follow instructions, work independently, and uphold quality standards. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Erect, assemble, and upkeep communication towers and antennas.
• Scale towers to install and swap out antennas, cables, and related components.
• Conduct thorough inspections and tests to maintain quality.
• Diagnose and rectify on-site faults.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Climb and work on various communication structures.
• Install, replace, and maintain equipment at elevated locations.
• Travel with the crew (company vehicle provided) to job sites. Out-of-state and Overnight stays are required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

•  Proficiency in climbing tall structures ranging from 50-300’ while carrying up to 50 lbs. of gear. 
• Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Strong balance and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and punctuality.
• Must pass Authorized Climber/Rescuer, OSHA 10-Hour, and CPR/First Aid training upon hire.
• Must be able to pass NWSA TT1 training.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools.
• Construction background is a plus.

Travel Requirements:

• 6-8 consecutive weeks of travel at a time, required.
• Overtime, per diem, and paid drive time when traveling.
• $157 per diem when traveling.
