Position Summary:

Setup, operate, and change tooling for EPS converting equipment in accordance with procedures to ensure optimum product quality. Ensuring Cellofoam safety requirements and core competencies are met.

• Understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, and safety requirements.
• Accurate completion of documentation for mold maintenance and start up approval.
• Ability to organize mold changes, prep molds, effectively operate hoists, and utilize power tools.
• Maintain all molds regarding loaders, manifolds, core venting, seals, and alignments to insure safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Diagnose needed mold repairs and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Perform other production duties as requested by supervisor.
• Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others.
• Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns.
• Maintain a working knowledge and is in full compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws.

Education Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Must be Forklift certified
• Must be Lock Out/Tag Out trained

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to use and articulate measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, weigh scales)
• Quality Control and Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality or performance.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior Machine experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Operating a forklift as needed.
• Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work with other departmental teams.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment; minimum of 1 year experience preferred.

Software Skills Required

• Ability to read and understand blueprints a plus.

Other Information

• Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Overtime work may be required.
• Aluminum welding trade a plus
