Staff Responsibilities

Responsible for staff management in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; development and coaching of employees.

Identify and manage staffing requirements including action plans to adjust staff accordingly.

Track and assess the performance of direct reports; set specific achievable and relevant performance objectives.

Review and monitor established clinic performance metrics.

Ensure high quality clinical standards.

Ensure high quality training by identifying training needs and providing actual training.

Monitor staff attendance as required by site.

Attend department and/or team meetings.

Ability to work in required work environment, including but not limited to working in a clinical/ laboratory environment with exposure to biological/ biohazardous materials and second hand smoke from combustible cigarettes and vapors from electronic cigarettes.

Conduct Responsibilities

Perform conduct events

Responsibility for collection and follow-up of data query reports and ensure staff completes queries prior to shift end.

Perform process audits and report observations to CCM.

Communicate study specific issues/work to CCS and/or Study Manager.

Complete CCO shift report as assigned and email to appropriate staff.

Monitor events required on each shift and ensure on-time performance.

Respond to pages and ensure required action is taken on a timely basis.

Review shift data and perform QC checks.

Ensure clinic equipment is operating properly.

Ensure that clinic areas are clean, properly set-up and organized.

Responsibility for ensuring accurate OTL timesheet entry by reviewing and approving of timesheets on a weekly basis.

Achieve Certified Trainer status within 1 year of entering role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and organize multiple priorities.
  • 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
