Celebrate Ability is an Autism Waiver provides therapeutic services to people with autism spectrum disorders from the ages of 10 to 21 years in their home and community. Our clients require services after school and on weekends. Though we have clients in multiple counties, this post is for Frederick County. If you have professional, personal, or volunteer experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders , we look forward to hearing from you!
Responsibilities of Autism Support Staff:
- Help clients gain more independence on goals listed on the treatment plan
- Assist clients in activities of daily living and personal hygiene, communication and socialization
- Help clients manage their own behavior and teach them appropriate alternative behaviors
- Encourage and participate in recreational activities with clients
- Keep accurate records and enter session notes daily
Eligibility Requirements of Autism Support Staff:
- Minimum 1 year direct autism experience
- Minimum 1 year behavior management experience
- Must have personal transportation
- Must pass state and federal background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
