Responsibilities

Ensure Environment, People Safety, Process Safety, Site Security, and Emergency Response regulatory and corporate compliance.

This position will engage with Operation, Maintenance and all other support teams at the site to achieve a culture of no harm to our employees, contractors, community and environment.

Additionally, as a senior leader at the site this individual promotes a culture of engagement within the team to address Stewardship growth, issues and technical competency throughout the site.

Stewardship – Engages team on the right way

  • Creates safety culture to ensure environment, people safety, process safety, site security, and emergency response regulatory and corporate compliance
  • Team Leader

Quality – Ensures work quality (right the first time)

  • Holds team accountable for responsibilities, policy and procedures

Engagement – Creates an environment for teaching, coaching and learning

  • Engage and develop capabilities within units and service groups to achieve no harm to people, environment and community
  • Maintain compliance of stewardship requirements for daily execution; field evaluation of procedures usage as defined by SQRE plan

Production/Reliability – Work Execution

  • Drive environmental and stewardship compliance in accordance with the 4 core manufacturing principles
  • Train members of manufacturing teams in safety and environmental programs, initiatives best practices and knowledge shares

Strategy – Implements maintenance plans

  • Lead reviews of Stewardship metrics to drive continuous improvement of Stewardship program effectiveness
  • Lead the PSM program audit system; coordinate the implementation of PSM initiatives; coordinate PSM training

Communication – Effective communication to key stakeholders

  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with Local and Country environmental authorities; ensure compliance of environmental permits

Qualifications

  • 15 years in chemical manufacturing with a portion of that being leadership in technical, production and/or reliability
  • Experience in Stewardship arena; experience in the chemical/refinery manufacturing field of improving Stewardship performance
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field; Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Safety
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations including ISO 9001 - 14001 - 45001
  • Application of safety policies and procedures in the field
  • Ability to influence others and build relationships and capability to drive engagement
  • Capability to address and resolve Stewardship issues
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities; focus on achieving objectives and long-term vision
  • ISO 9001 - 14001 - 45001 knowledge
