CEI is seeking a senior Inspector for several Bridge Projects in the Phoenix metro area. 

• Experienced in heavy civil highway projects specific to roads and bridges. Senior Inspection regarding all bridge structure inspections. (FHWA-NBI) AZ experience within AZDOT/MCDOT/Municipality
• Perform contract item inspections for ensuring compliance with plans and specifications on all phases of highway and bridge construction projects.
• Inspects work standards: production, productivity, and quality standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvement.
• Approves incoming materials by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, and materials rejection.
• Approves in-process production by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production personnel.
• Approves finished products by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, return of products for re-work and waster reports; inputting data into quality database.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Prefer: Civil Engineering Degree 
• Candidates should have the following certifications: ACI Field and or ATTI Field Certifications
• Ideal candidates will also have ATTSA Traffic Management Certification.
• Other desirable certifications: NICET
• Candidates will have project management or inspection experience with a department of transportation

Work Environment:

May be subject to the following conditions/physical requirements dependent upon area of assignment: Adverse weather conditions, lifting in excess of 50 pounds, extended walking over rough terrain, climbing over 10 feet, exposure to hazardous materials, continuous loud noises, strenuous physical activity and/or proximity to large construction equipment. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position primarily in the field on a highway/bridge QA Construction site.
