We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer will be responsible for overseeing daily work orders for our heavy equipment, vehicles and other related equipment that needs repair, while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between field operations and mechanics; ensuring our internal customer's (field operations) needs are understood by the mechanic and accurately monitored and tracked in our systems. You will be responsible for managing work orders from start to finish. If you have a strong background in this arena and possess excellent people and communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• This position will maintain work orders for the equipment and vehicles being worked on in our service shop and on location at jobsites from initial request through the entire life cycle of the repair, including but not limited to, tracking parts status, repair status, assuring that all invoicing and cost are captured, all pictures are captured, mechanics notes are attached to the work order and proper cost coding is attached.
• The Service Writer is the first point of contact for repairs through an electronic repair request system that may require phone or one on one communication following the repair request with both internal staff and field operations to assure the information and repair needs are accurately communicated to the shop.
• Coordinates daily with our Shop Manager to coordinate and ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers, fostering a positive and trustworthy atmosphere.
• Keep internal customers informed about the status of their work order(s).

Basic knowledge

• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivation and formal communication skills required.
• Strong ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment and keep organized.
• Advanced computer and application skills in Microsoft products
• Experience with Vista and Tenna is highly preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
