The Loss Prevention Specialist identifies various types of losses and thefts, works cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment providing critical guidance to Operations on asset protection and profit improvement initiatives.

General Responsibilities:
Monitors assigned store locations to detect, investigate, and resolve internal and external situations and circumstances that could lead to or result in losses to the company. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

Qualifications:
5 years’ loss prevention experience in a multi-unit retail environment; retail experience must include familiarity with store systems regarding execution of tasks, handheld scanners, phones, workstations, etc.; possess strong leadership abilities to motivate and influence Operations partners; working knowledge of DVRs, cameras, and safes; experience performing store safety inspections; must possess professional-level written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with all levels within an organization; must have strong analytical skills and be able to read and interpret data; must have intermediate skills in MS Office Suite, particularly the ability to manipulate and analyze data in Excel spreadsheets; able to travel between 25-50%; must have a clean driving record; on-call availability must include: after normal business hours, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
Preferred:
2 years’ loss prevention experience in a multi-unit convenience store chain; experience working in PDI.
