8North is a specialized 48-bed unit catering to adult patients with neuro and spine medical and surgical conditions. From neurosurgical procedures to spine treatments, we offer comprehensive care to patients in need.

What you'll do as a Registered Nurse on 8N:

• Administer medications and therapeutic agents for treatment
• Educate patients on disease prevention and care measures
• Provide direct and indirect patient care services with a focus on safety and comfort
• Perform various medical procedures like phlebotomy and venous access
• Observe and assess patient conditions, initiating emergency procedures when necessary
• Plan and implement individualized patient care based on observations
• Identify patients' readiness for learning and safety concerns
• Make special adjustments for diverse patient populations
• Ensure a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or higher preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

• Current California State RN License required
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
• Specialty Certification for RN III within one year of hire

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute RN experience in specialty
• Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice
• Dedication to customer service and meeting patient needs
• Meets clinical criteria and protocol for assigned level
