Our Emergency Department (ED) boasts 20 patient beds and handles an average of 100 cases daily. The team comprises Registered Nurses, Break RNs, Charge Nurses, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners working cohesively to offer cutting-edge emergency care to a diverse patient population.

Summary of the Role:

As a Registered Nurse within the ED team, your primary role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room, besides:

• Delivering high-quality care showing initiative, flexibility, and accountability expected from professionals even with minimal supervision
• Conducting safe, rapid, and accurate patient triage upon their entry into the emergency care system
• Deciding care priorities based on patients' physical, psychosocial needs, and factors affecting hospital flow
• Keeping Emergency Department physicians informed of any changes in patient status, symptoms, or test results
• Reacting promptly and accurately to changes in patients' conditions or response to treatment in the ED setting

Shift: Night Shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse License
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association
• Completion of a 16-hour Pediatric Emergency Course (EDAP or ENPC) within the first year of employment
• TNCC certification preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required
• Proven commitment to customer service by meeting patient and healthcare colleagues' needs and expectations
