CONSTRUCTION TEAM LEADER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Construction Team Leader is a hardworking and motivated person who has proficiency in many different areas of construction. The work environment is fun and fast paced, filled with opportunities to grow your skill set in the construction field. You will be working with an energetic team to modernize and upgrade distressed homes. The Construction Team Leader is an integral part of the construction team, helping execute the construction plan and timeline from demolition to completion. This is a highly rewarding position as you will get to see your hard work become reality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with the Construction Manager
• Effectively and regularly communicates with Construction Manager
• Understands job schedule and budget
• Manages day to day tasks on jobsite
• Manages a small team of Construction Team Members
• Communicates with the Construction Manager or Project Manager to determine what materials are needed to complete a project
• Verfies homes are ready for inspections
• Builds relationships with city inspectors
• Builds relationships with subcontractors
• Schedules subcontractors
• Maintains job site schedules and scope of work
• Monitors use of construction tools and equipment
• Enforces job site safety and security
• Receives deliveries
• Holds subcontractors to contract standards
• Responsible for ensuring clean job sites

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of advanced construction principles and methods
• Able to read and understand construction plans
• Capable of carrying at least 80 pounds
• Comfortable with working on ladders
• Preferred to have their own tools
• Must have reliable transportation

EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of construction experience
• Construction management experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
