REPORTS TO: Band Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Pit Instructor for the 2024 Marching Band season, and possibly beyond. Must be a current employee of EduStaff or willing to become an employee of EduStaff.Employment will begin August 5, pending completion of Edustaff registration and all required paperwork.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Attendance at band camp
- Assist with show design
- Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill to the saxophone section
- Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence
- Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
- Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred
- Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level
- Extensive knowledge of woodwind technique and instruction
- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
- Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members and directors
- Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity
