Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Pharmacy Tech (PRN) Near Cedar, TX

Position Overview

We are in need of a Pharmacy Tech to join our team! This is a PRN position.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and/or Clinical Staff Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician or Trainee is responsible for general distribution activities, which may include but are not limited to, computer order entry, medication order filling, preparation of intravenous admixtures and parenteral nutrition, filling floor stock orders, refilling automated dispensing cabinets, delivering medications to patient care areas, drug ordering and procurement activities, and other duties as assigned. A person may be designated as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee for no more than two years. The requirements for registration as a pharmacy technician must be completed within the two year period.

Qualifications

  • Current Registration as Pharmacy Tech with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
  • Successful completion of ACPE accredited aseptic technique/sterile compounding required
  • PTCB certification preferred
