Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Medical Staff Coordinator (FT; Days) Near CEDAR PARK, TX

Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 700 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.

Position Overview

We are looking for a fulltime Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team! This is a day shift  position. 

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting the functions of the Medical Staff Services. Duties include, but not limited to intercepting all medical staff applications for initial and re-appointment, enter accurately into database, create and prepare file for processing. This position will assist with maintaining the electronic data for medical staff members, including data with in MDStaff (credentialing software), Medhost (ED), HMS (Hospital), Modal(Dictation) and Clinview(EMR). This position will also assist with onboarding of new medical staff members, including establishing initial new user access, and their office personnel. This position interacts professionally with the Medical Staff, Administration, clinical personnel, physician practice personnel and the public on a daily basis. This position requires high level of organization, poise, tact and independence.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prefer Associates degree in related field.

Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an office environment supporting administrative functions; 3 years comprehensive credentialing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, database software and interne .

Understanding of medical terminology, disease entities and treatment desired.
