Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them for the technicians
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's calendar
- Provide estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
- Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep customers informed about the status of their equipment throughout the repair process
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Maintain accurate records of all service orders and invoices
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a service or repair environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of equipment diagnostics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and generating reports
- Upselling skills to promote additional services or products
