This role will prepare all supplies for day-to-day duties to ensure that the entire site can run smoothly. The medical assistant will also provide administrative support to physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice.
Assists in examination and treatment of patients, interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
Interview patients and document medical history.
Organize and schedule appointments.
Communicates results to patients via phone.
Assembles supplies (PPE, Test kits, etc.) and delivers as necessary.
Complete packing and shipping of samples Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Requirements
High school degree or GED
Current certification and Current BLS
2 years of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
Able to wear PPE for extended periods of time without restriction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
The ability to make decisions.
The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with high pressure.
Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and Overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends.
Must possess the physical capability to lift, bend, and perform other physical tasks requiring a minimum strength of 50 lbs.
