Nationwide Construction Management firm is in immediate need for an experienced Project Accountant in Oak Park, IL. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing accounting support, preferably in a construction company.
Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for assigned projects.
Produce accounting reports and present their results for assigned projects.
Monitor progress and anticipate added costs/risks for assigned projects.
Collaborate with GC Team to keep projects on budget and on time.
Assist with the closeout process for assigned projects.
Input project data in QuickBooks
Review pay applications from general contractors and sub-contractors, gather necessary back-up documentation
Prepare invoices
Post vendor /contractor bills & contractor payments
Update master tracker with billing information
Requirements:
Extensive experience & knowledge of QuickBooks 5 years.
MS Office
Not less than 5 years of bookkeeping, preferably in a construction environment
Attention to detail/Ability to multi-task
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Independent/Self Starter – Works well under pressure
Degree preferred but will consider business experience
Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, In Person (with potential WFH options)
Salary: $65k-$75k annual
