ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend project turnover meetings with the sales and project team.
- Design building automation systems and create project submittals/shop drawings using project plans and specifications.
- Identify any gaps or ambiguity in the project and submit RFIs as required.
- Establish/maintain unique customer standards while working on design/build and plan/spec projects alike
- Develop project bill of materials and provide equipment logistics/support
- Mentor new employees and assist in their growth
- Select and order controllers and devices for projects.
- Write control sequences and coordinate design intent with programmer.
- Provide operational and technical support/direction to field operations and subcontractors
- Obtain field markups and revise the shop drawings with any changes for owner records.
- Maintain backups of all project documentation including record drawings on Procore.
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Engineering Manager / Project Manager with recommendation for resolution.
- Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
- Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed.
- Associate's degree in related engineering/technology field required, bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
- In lieu of engineering/technical degree, a combination of verifiable DDC specific training and two or more years of experience will be considered.
- DDC or PLC design experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of low voltage electrical wiring.
- Experience in engineering, design, or maintenance of HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of commercial electrical, HVAC, and control theory.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
