Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Community Manager to lead and grow the driver community within our mobile app. The Community Manager will be responsible for fostering a safe and engaging environment for members to connect, foster friendships, share their experiences, and access valuable tools and resources. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of driver culture, the trucking industry, and its challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the CDLLife mobile app community. Foster positive interactions and engagement by responding to user posts, comments, inquiries, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Content Moderation: Monitor and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with community guidelines and app policies. Address any inappropriate content or behavior, promptly, professionally, according to our internal protocols.

Community Management: Handle community-related issues or conflicts effectively, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Escalate critical issues to the appropriate teams as necessary.

Community Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow and maintain a vibrant, active community. Organize challenges, discussions, deploy strategic push notifications, incentivize user invites, populate weekly content for the Highway Hunt game, and host virtual events to drive engagement, interaction, and long-term adoption among members.

Feedback and Insights: Gather feedback from the community and share key insights with the Product team to improve the app and its features. Identify trends and emerging topics within the community to guide content creation and engagement strategies, as well as to inform the CDLLife Editorial team of trending topics and hot-button issues.

Communication: Create and distribute regular updates, announcements, and emails to keep the community informed and engaged. Collaborate with the Editorial team within the Communications team to promote community-related initiatives and events.

Data Analysis: Track, analyze, and report community engagement metrics to measure the success of initiatives and work with the Product team to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, or Journalism/Communications, or relevant work experience

● 3 years experience in a Community Management or Social Media Management role

● Knowledge of the transportation industry

● Ability to develop creative, engaging, and original messaging and content.

● Familiarity with all social media platforms

● Exceptional written and oral communication skills

● Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

● Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in trends across platforms

● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

● Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

● Knowledge of current and future trends, technologies, and cultural and/or political references

● Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
