CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

Hybrid or Remote position

Performs assignments requiring application of engineering education, training or and experience. Also requires special knowledge of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences.

Engineer must have 7-15 years of progressive experience in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering, preferably in the petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities

Since advancement is based on progressive experience and knowledge, the Civil/Structural Engineer IV must necessarily be able to perform all functions o a Civil / Structural Engineer III.

Ability to be a Lead Engineer on multiple Civil/Structural projects

Applies engineering principles in discipline of competency, as assigned by supervisor with minimal

Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, all in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on- one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to comprehend and complete testing for Safety Orientations through either written, verbal or computer interaction, as required by tester.

Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Word and Excel software. Ability to use basic engineering software programs, such as STAAD or RISA, is required. Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus, but not mandatory.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Must possess problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues involving multiple variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may periodically be required to travel to client jobsites, usually petrochemical production

facilities and must have the ability to access all areas as required. Therefore, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and the risk of electric shock. The noise level in the industrial workplace can be loud. The Engineer must exercise caution and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as specified by CDI and the Clients, to ensure their own safety and the safety of their co-workers.

Education Requirements

Must possess the minimum of a BS in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited university.
