Summary:

The Intake Specialist’s responsibility is to prepare and process all mortgage assistance

applications. Specifically, they work with clients to gather all required documentation

needed to be able to submit their application on the TDHCA portal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the best customer service to all clients.
  • Promotes professionalism, through poised and effective phone etiquette, manners,

appearance, and attitude.

  • Maintains availability and willingness to travel to Raymondville, Harlingen, Santa Rosa

and other places and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or

desirable to meet its business needs.

  • Gather all required documentation from clients needed to complete the online

mortgage assistance application.

  • Be knowledgeable of the rules of the Texas Homeowner Assistance Program.
  • Call, text and email clients to remind them of their appointments and pending

documentation.

  • Provide status update to clients when needed.
  • Document and maintain client files.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher; and one to three
months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs and email.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, instructions and procedure
manuals. Ability to write and communicate on routine reports and correspondence.
Analytical Skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
as needed.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations
where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent in communication and organization.
  • Shifts – Normal business hours but contingent to program schedule which may include
occasional weekends and or extended hours up to 8:00 pm or later.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $14.42 per hour – duration of assignment subject to availability of grant funds
  • 100% of premium for health, vision and dental benefits paid by cdcb.
